Gennefer is a writer, producer and branded entertainment specialist who built Space Truffles Entertainment to bring the possibilities of pairing compelling content with brands to light — without sacrificing the creative experience or churning out extended commercials under the guise of entertainment. Hailing from traditional advertising over a decade ago, Gennefer has seen it all, and brings a unique vantage point to her initiatives — and a boatload of moxie (which is just a fancy way of saying she's never the quiet one in the meeting). Her career began in the ad agency world as a copywriter, Urban Outfitters-clad and crafting pithy headlines. But she traded in her artsy wardrobe and ballet flats for a tailored suit and pumps as she assumed the role of Account Executive, servicing blockbuster consumer brands like Procter & Gamble, Coca Cola and Microsoft. Striving to flex more of her strategic muscle, she defected to the client side as a brand manager, overseeing the marketing efforts of multi-billion dollar products, but quickly fled the bureaucracy of Corporate America for the lure of independent consulting, floated on the .dot com bubble (essentially mastering her foosball game) and landed splat in the new media marketplace, where she has been swimming against the tide ever since. Now she is 100% focused on blazing new trails in interactive entertainment, drawing on her experience as a creative director and indie filmmaker, coupled with her successful track record of building brands across verticals, to catalyze fully immersive experiences that bring storyworlds — and brands — to life. She is also a self-appointed ‘sushionado’ and sci-fi geek with a slightly debilitating addiction to Pinkberry frozen yogurt, and will eat an entire pumpkin pie in one sitting. (True story.)
